Cindy has worked as a Human Factors Engineer at Intel for 3 years, and as an Interface Designer and Usability Specialist at Andersen Consulting for 4 years.  Cindy has been taking a long leave from paid work while taking care of her two young children, and continuing to serve on CHIFOO’s Executive Council.  Now that her kids are in school, Cindy plans to look for work in user experience design.

Cindy has an M.S. in Computer Science (specializing in Artificial Intelligence) from the Institute for the Learning Sciences at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Computer Science and Mathematics (double major) from Swarthmore College. 

Outside of work, Cindy’s interests include folkdancing, hiking, camping, and birding.
